Featured Material Option // TPU For FDM
Flexible Engineering-Grade Thermoplastic for FDM.
High elongation, superior toughness, durability, and abrasion resistance—FATHOM's 3D printing and additive manufacturing service customers have a new flexible material option to consider.
The production team is excited to offer TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) for fused deposition modeling (FDM). TPU 92A is a resilient material combining flexibility and stretch with abrasion and tear resistance. Benefits to taking an additive manufacturing approach with TPU include quicker turnaround and freedom of complexity versus traditional methods.
Bend. Curl. Twist.
This flexible material is ideal for rapid prototyping highly functional, large, durable, and complex elastomer parts. Application examples include flexible tubing/hosing, air ducts, seals/gaskets, covers, mats, liners, and vibration dampeners.
Industries expected to benefit from this material availability include transportation, consumer goods, and industrial goods.
